FAQ

Why is a retainer fee required?

Our retainer fee is to cover the time it takes to compile names, phone numbers, and email addresses of potential candidates. You will not be billed for the balance until the start date of the candidate hired.  The retainer fee will be deducted from the balance on the final invoice.

Is the retainer fee refundable?

Once the contract has been signed, you have a grace period of three days to cancel. After the grace period, the retainer fee is non-refundable.

How will you be communicating with us during the search process?

Communication is vital during the search process! The first couple of weeks, we will be in contact with you once a week to let you know where are at with the search process. As the search intensifies, we will communicate with you more frequently. We ask that you return our emails and phone calls within 24 hours!

When does the search process begin after the contract has been signed?

The search process will begin after we have had a conversation with the client about the position and a job specification is received.

How soon before we start seeing resumes of qualified candidates?

It usually takes two to three weeks to start receiving resumes of qualified candidates. Keep in mind that the candidates we are recruiting are not looking so many of them might not have an updated resume.  We will not present candidates to clients that do not have a resume.

What are your client expectations?

We want to be successful in filling your open positions, so we would like our clients to work with us as a team. The candidates we are recruiting are not looking. While we can initially peak their interest, you, the client, is the best person to get the candidate excited about your organization! They need to be sold
on why leaving their current position to come work for your organization is the right move in the career.

Can you explain your one-year guarantee and the conditions?

Our one year guarantee does not involve a refund of fees, but a guarantee to find another acceptable candidate for no additional cost. The guarantee assumes that the company did not make any major decisions/changes that directly affected the ability for the candidate to perform. Such changes may include:

  • Elimination of the position.
  • Reduction in new hire’s compensation.
  • Reassignment of duties and responsibilities from original specifications.
  • Significant unanticipated reduction in staff levels under the new hire’s control.

The one year guarantee applies if:

The candidate resigns within 12 month of the date hired and not due to any major decisions/changes (listed above)  that directly affected the ability for the candidate to perform.

The client terminates the candidate within 12 months of the date of hire due to performance or attendance.
